First Day Unpacking Cryostat

The receiver and electronics have been brought
to Cedar Flat, CA for a test run on the Huan Tran Telescope (HTT).

We'll be here for a few months testing the entire
system integrated together for the first time.

Here's a picture of the truck driving up to Cedar Flat

Boxes coming off the truck. The motorized tailgate
made things a lot easier.

The cryostat is big enough that it needed two boxes.
Double wood boxes with foam between them.

Moving the boxes with forklift. A nice
view of the HTT.

Mike from the CARMA staff lifting the compressor
for the pulse tube cooler into our "utility" container
which has the compressor, water chiller, and telescope
servo systems. We'll move this container to Chile with
all the systems installed.

The focal-plane end of the receiver arriving at the main
container.

Chase, Hans, Dave, Mike, Bryan, Ziggy, Kam, and Daniel.

The whole crew with Adrian added.

Then, it started to snow. Ziggy and Bryan are assembling
the receiver cart.

Inside the main container finishing
the receiver cart. When moved to
Chile this container will have oxygen
enrichment. It's the only heated
container.

Ziggy gives us his goofy thumbs up
since the receiver seems to have made
it in good shape.
